Regional Tensions Ease as Peace Efforts Succeed, Says PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that regional peace efforts have been successful and that tensions in the region have eased. He expressed gratitude to friendly countries that supported initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability. According to the prime minister, lasting peace is essential for economic growth and prosperity in Pakistan and across the region.

The prime minister made these remarks during a meeting with female members of parliament from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He welcomed the lawmakers and thanked them for their active participation in the ongoing budget session.

Shehbaz Sharif said the government had made every possible effort to provide relief to the public in the federal budget. He added that the budget includes measures to empower women, increase their economic independence, and strengthen their participation in national development.

The prime minister stated that the Government of Pakistan, the Field Marshal, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Interior Minister remained actively engaged in efforts to maintain peace. He further noted that the government worked to protect citizens from the impact of global inflation in recent months. Shehbaz Sharif said that close cooperation between the federal and provincial governments helped maintain economic stability, adding that regional peace efforts and public support are key to the country’s continued development.
